Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Alleyoop (“Alleyoop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our website and our outsourced sales-development and appointment-setting services. We’ve written it to be readable, not to bury the important parts.
A note on roles. Alleyoop wears two hats. For our own website and marketing, we are the business that decides how your information is used (a “controller”). When we run outbound programs on behalf of a client, the client decides whose data is contacted and why, in that work we act as a service provider (a “processor”) and handle data under the client’s instructions and our services agreement.
01Scope of this policy
This policy applies to information we collect through this website, when you contact us, request a meeting, use one of our interactive tools (such as the Outbound Ready Score), or otherwise engage with Alleyoop as a prospective or current client. It also describes, at a high level, how we handle the business-contact data we process when delivering services to our clients.
It does not override any separate agreement you have signed with us. Where a Master Services Agreement (MSA), Data Processing Addendum (DPA), or order form conflicts with this policy, that agreement controls for the services it covers.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a form, book a meeting, email us, or use our tools, we may collect your name, business email address, phone number, company name, job title, and anything you choose to include in a message or form field.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and similar analytics data, through cookies and comparable technologies (see Cookies & tracking).
Information from third parties
We may receive business-contact and firmographic information about prospective clients from reputable data providers, enrichment tools, and publicly available sources, which we use for our own sales and marketing.
03Data we process for clients
When a client engages us to run an outbound program, the client provides or directs us to source business-contact information about their prospects, typically names, business email addresses, business phone numbers, job titles, and company details. We process this information solely to deliver the agreed services (research, list-building, outreach, qualification, and appointment-setting) under the client’s instructions.
For this work the client is the controller of the data and Alleyoop is the processor. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for our own marketing. Our handling of it is governed by our services agreement and, where applicable, a Data Processing Addendum.
04How we use information
- To respond to inquiries, schedule and conduct meetings, and provide information you request;
- To deliver, maintain, and improve our services and our website;
- To send relevant business communications and marketing (you can opt out at any time);
- To operate our interactive tools and return your results;
- To analyze site usage and improve performance and content;
- To protect against fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
07Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to provide services, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it. Data we process on behalf of a client is retained and deleted according to that client’s instructions and our services agreement.
08Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to those who need it.
09Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to opt out of marketing; and, under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK GDPR, additional rights including the right to opt out of “sales” or “sharing” (note: we do not sell personal information) and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law. If your information was provided to us by one of our clients, we may refer your request to that client as the controller of the data.
10Outbound calls & email
Outreach we perform, for ourselves or on behalf of clients, is conducted in line with applicable laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the CAN-SPAM Act. Marketing emails include a way to unsubscribe, and we honor opt-out and do-not-contact requests. If you no longer wish to be contacted, reply to any message or email [email protected] and we will remove you, and where applicable notify the client on whose behalf the outreach was made.
11International transfers
Alleyoop is based in the United States, and information we collect may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers of personal information.
12Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites and tools we don’t control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll take additional steps as required by law. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
